This website has been developed by H Rothwell & Co. Ltd, trading as Rothwells, in association with our supplier partners, with the aim of allowing anyone who is UK based to purchase a wide range of DIY & Professional tools. You will find a broad range of exciting tools from a number of major manufacturers. You will also find some manufacturers you may not have heard of. All of our tools are carefully selected to provide quality and most of all, value for money to you the end user. As a company with four warehouses in Rochdale, Nelson, Todmorden and Bury, we have an established reputation in these areas for quality, price and service, mainly due to our company being family run, and the fact that we have been around since 1954, the date when our company was formed. This website is a logical extension to our established business, and gives access to the same level of service, price and quality which our existing customers enjoy, to UK wide DIY and Professional tool users. Terms & Conditions Payment We accept payment via Sagepay We can also accommodate Visa Purchasing Cards, for both line item detail and summary VAT transactions, for those professional users who require this. We will also discuss payment by cheque, but goods cannot be despatched until after the cheque has cleared. Prior arrangement for this must be made by phone.   Delivery You can contact us to check on your delivery, either by phone on 01706 649231, or fax on 01706 647906, or on e-mail at sales@rothwells.co.uk. If your parcel is damaged you must contact us with full details within 24 hours of delivery, or you can refuse delivery. If you refuse delivery, please notify us of the date and time of delivery, and the reason for refusal.  Prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery ONLY - any other areas can be quoted on an individual basis.Note: Unless specifically stated we will always deliver to the card holders address   Guarantees Rothwells take great care to ensure that all the products offered in our website are of high quality. Most products carry a manufacturer's 1 year guarantee, provided that they have been used in a correct manner. In the case of any dispute, we will ask the manufacturer for a report, and we will ask you to accept their decision as final. Some of the manufacturers offer longer guarantees than one year, and we will of course honour these, in the unlikely event it proves necessary. You must keep and provide to us a copy of proof of the date purchased when claiming on any guarantee.   Cooling off period/Returns You may if you wish, cancel your order for any reason within 28 days, starting and including the day after you received the goods. To do this you must notify us by phone on 01706 649231 or e-mail sales@rothwells.co.uk , that you wish to cancel your order, specifying the order number to be cancelled. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. You should use a service that requires us to sign for receipt of the goods, as a certificate of posting is not acceptable as evidence of a return. Once the goods have been received back by us, in perfect condition, unused and in the original packaging, we will refund your purchase money (but not carriage costs) in full within 14 days of receipt by us. You must not cancel your original payment, as a refund will be given at the level set out in this paragraph.   Incorrectly Supplied, Damaged items and Faulty Items If an item has been supplied wrongly by us, been received damaged or is faulty, then you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Provided this is done, we will arrange for the goods to be collected, and your goods replaced with functioning, correctly supplied, or undamaged as the case may be. You may cancel you order at this stage if you wish, by contacting us by phone on 01706 649231 or e-mail sales@rothwells.co.uk to do so. We will make arrangements with you, which will allow us to collect the goods during the working day (eg from your workplace). If we cannot collect the goods as arranged, you will be charged £10 including VAT, for each occasion we cannot collect, which will be deducted from your refund. Once the goods have been received back by us, in perfect condition, unused and in the original packaging, we will refund your purchase money within 14 days of receipt by us. You must not cancel your original payment, as a refund will be given at the level set out in this paragraph.   Contract Information & Governing Law A contract is formed between you and Rothwells only when you have received confirmation that your order has been accepted and you are notified of the order number by e mail. We will investigate and respond promptly to any matter you raise with us.   Privacy Policy a) In order to process your order and provide details of that order to you at a later stage, we need to collect a certain amount of personal data. Our policy is to collect and retain only that data which we require to enable us to provide a good service to you as a customer. We will not pass your details on to any other company. Please note the following:- 1) We do not capture and retain on our system your credit card details. These are passed by you to a secure server with encryption, and we do not see the details. 2) We do retain your e-mail address, your daytime telephone number and Home address with the postcode. This allows us to deliver your goods and advise you of the progress of your order. Note that we can only deliver to the cardholders address. As required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we ensure storage of the information you have given us in a manner which prevents its unauthorised disclosure. b) We will use your details to send you information on products and special offers we think you may be interested in, from time to time. If you do not want us to do this, please e-mail us on sales@rothwells.co.uk after your order has been completed, and we will remove your details from our records.
