Rothwells’ Returns Policy
We hope that you never need to return anything to us. However, should you need to, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to refund your purchase.
We accept returns subject to the rules below.
- If your item is unwanted and not faulty, returned items must be in a resaleable condition, in the original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase.
- If your item is faulty, please email store@rothwells.co.uk with the details and proof of purchase attached (scan or photo of your original delivery note). A member of the team will get in touch to resolve the issue.
- If you return an item requesting a refund within 28 days of the item being delivered to you or available for collection, we'll give you a full refund by way of the original payment method. We aim to refund you within:
- 14 days of receiving the returned item, if purchased online
- As soon as possible, if purchased in store, via system credit or by issuing a refund against the original method of payment
This guidance does not affect your statutory rights.
Online returns
- If your item is unwanted and not faulty, please make sure that it is unused and in a saleable condition complete with its original packaging, alongside any promotional items associated to the purchase.
- Package the item(s) you wish to return and enclose a note stating your name and order number. Please email store@rothwells.co.uk, starting the subject with 'RETURN', state your name and order number and attach proof of postage (scan or photo of your original delivery note) so we may anticipate your item(s). We highly recommend using a tracked service: Rothwells will not be held responsible for any item(s) lost in transit.

Return in store
- Take your unwanted or faulty item(s) to our Rochdale store (H Rothwell & Co Ltd, Duke St, Rochdale, LANCS, OL12 0LS).
- If your item is unwanted and not faulty, please make sure that it is unused and in a saleable condition complete with its original packaging, alongside any promotional items associated to the purchase.
- We ask that you please drain any fuel or oil from mechanical products before returning the item to store as we will otherwise be unable to accept them.
- Please remember to bring your receipt, invoice or order reference number with you.
- We will check the items to confirm they were purchased in the last 28 days.
- We can then offer a system credit or issue a refund against the original method of payment.
